Percussion Day for Educators - UW

The Washington State Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society and Dr. Bonnie Whiting of the University of Washington would like to invite you to attend a Percussion Day for current and future music educators on Saturday, June 22, 2019. The event will take place in Meany Hall on the University of Washington campus in Seattle. Five clinics will be presented that are geared towards expanding ensemble directors’ knowledge of percussion instruments. Both performance and maintenance aspects will be addressed. 

Cost of attendance is $30, $15 for students. 

Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.  Those who pre-register will receive both e-copies and physical copies of all clinic handouts. Participants who do not pre-register will receive e-copies of the handouts.

12:00    Welcome and Registration

12:30     Marching Percussion with Trent Deverter

1:30   Instrument maintenance with Andrew Angell

2:30     Auxiliary Percussin with Bonnie Whiting

4:30    Mallet Percussion with Mason Lynass    

5:30    Timpani with Karen Sunmark
